Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process allowing learners to achieve all or part of either the Diploma or Certificate IV Certificate by demonstrating knowledge, skills and experience around particular units of competency. If you have knowledge and skills acquired through work experience, education, training and life experience, RPL may be an option for you, and could save both time and money.

If you believe you have sufficient knowledge, skills or experience to qualify for RPL, speak to one of our qualified assessors during your initial registration. We will begin the process to help you match your knowledge and skills to the learning outcomes of units of competency. Cornerstone will send you the RPL application kit with detailed information about the process. It’s then up to you to gather and submit RPL evidence to our team. Upon receiving appropriate documentation, our admin team will allocate the RPL application to a qualified assessor within 2 business days. Following this, the assessor will arrange an interview with you to engage in a competency conversation.

If you have completed formal units of study at another Registered Training Organisation, you may be eligible to receive a Credit Transfer for one or more of those units. To apply for a Credit Transfer, you’ll need to submit a copy of a certified Transcript or Statement of Attainment, along with a copy of the Credit Application form, available<link>here<link>.
